Steve Crane
Michigan Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury, and Workplace Discrimination Lawyer
Steve has been recognized as one of the best. He is known for locking in and not letting go until success is achieved. As a survivor of a life-threatening head-on collision that left his father in the hospital fighting for his life, Steve has been in the shoes of many clients. He knows firsthand what it feels like to worry about returning to normal after an accident, to juggle medical bills and household obligations, and to endure the pain and suffering that accompany daily life because of any injury. Steve’s unique perspective fuels his determination to protect the rights of the injured. Clients appreciate, and colleagues respect Steve’s tenacious, passionate, and effective advocacy.
Steve attended Boston University on a football scholarship, where he played linebacker. He was an honors student, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He went on to attend the prestigious University of Michigan Law School, serving as an associate editor for the Michigan Journal of International Law.
Following law school, he served coveted judicial clerkships for Justice Dorothy Comstock Riley, Michigan Supreme Court, Lansing, Michigan, and for federal circuit Judge Max Rosenn, United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Read MoreSteve has been recognized and accorded the honor of being one of Michigan’s “BEST LAWYERS.” Only a few attorneys from each state are selected to the Best Lawyers designation for any given year. The multi-factor selection process includes independent research, peer nominations, and evaluations, as well as professional achievement in legal practice.
Steve is dedicated to civil service. He is a member of the National Association of Public Defense, which confronts systemic issues that marginalize those less fortunate and perpetuate injustice. In 2007, Steve founded FACTORS – Finding a Cure Through Our Resources, a 501(c)(3). A charity that aids in the discovery of causes, cures, therapies for human diseases, and infirmities and disabilities. Currently, Steve serves as a director of FACTORS.
Steve is licensed to practice law in California, Texas, and Michigan, as well as several U.S. federal district courts and U.S. circuit courts of appeal.
When not practicing law, he chills with his rescues, Great Danes, Mastiffs, and Shorthair cats. He serves as a TNR volunteer, humanely reducing the feral with trap, neuter, and release. Steve is an avid fitness enthusiast.
